BIMINI welcomes Prof. Nathaniel Martin as advisor chemistry

BIMINI Biotech is happy to have Prof. Nathaniel Martin join the team as an advisor on chemistry, supporting the lead optimization. Prof. Martin is  Professor of Biological Chemistry Institute of Biology Leiden (IBL) Leiden. He obtained his PhD degree from the University of Alberta in 2004. He subsequently performed postdoctoral studies at the University of California Berkeley and in 2007 moved to Utrecht University to start his independent career. In 2018 he was appointed Chair of Biological Chemistry at Leiden University where he applies (bio)organic chemistry and chemical biology-based approaches to address biologically interesting and medically relevant questions.

Prof. Martin: “I am excited to be part of Bimini’s efforts to develop first-in-class small molecule activators of WASp as an innovative approach for the treatment of hematological cancers.”

With Prof. Martin on board we aim to progress our WASp modulators towards the clinic.
